The Centre for Dreams, presents LEAP, an exhibition and sale of paintings, musings, mixed media and 3D art work by the members. The show is a result of a project facilitated by Donalda Patenaude, a Thornhill artist and visual arts educator. All welcome to attend this celebratory exhibition at the Kathleen Gormley McKay Art Centre, 197 Main Street, Unionville, beginning Wednesday, March 30 until April 3, 2011, and the closing reception, Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 2 - 4 pm.

Simcoe Watershed Art Project presents The Ripple Effect

Reflecting on the very nature of affecting change: how one small stone tossed into a body of water causes a ripple effect with an almost never ending forward motion. Experimental - Journeys of expression from a collective mind

This eclectic show is from over 15 artists from the York-Durham Group of Artists produced under the tuteledge of Fine Arts Professor Andrew Hamilton. The show encompases a wide variety of art subjects and differing art mediums. Creativity and self exploration is the focus of the show and of of the artists.

Project Portrait

A group exhibition by 6 independent artists calling themselves Painters 6, is a celebration of the diversity of the community through portraiture. This has been a one year group project, with the criteria to paint each portrait within the time constraint of three hours, on a uniformly sized canvas. The variety of individuals that volunteered for this project in the act of sitting for the portrait created an intimate relationship with the artist that is now shared with the viewers. This relationship is the emotional and physical connection that creates the community! Artists are Vita Keeling, Sheila Ghazarian, Linda Chen, Florica Laslau, Glen Ou and Lynda Warne.

Dynasty Watercolour Association

Dynasty Watercolour Association, a new local visual arts organization, provide an opportunity and supportive environment for artists who work with a variety of styles in the watercolour medium.
