PURPOSE:

The purpose of this report is to inform Development Services Committee that a new Official Plan Office Consolidation dated July 2005 is now available.

BACKGROUND:

The Town’s Official Plan was last consolidated to January 1999. Staff initiated work to produce a new office consolidation of the Official Plan in 2002. Development Services Committee adopted Technical Official Plan Amendment No.103 in April 2003, which was required to produce the new consolidation. Official Plan Amendment No.103 (Technical Amendment) was recently modified and approved by the Region to incorporate further Official Plan Amendments to the Official Plan to July 1^st 2005.

OPTIONS/ DISCUSSION:

The new consolidation incorporates 82 additional Official Plan Amendments. Of these 4 are new Secondary Plans, 7 are Town-wide amendments and 73 are site specific amendments to either the Official Plan or to a Secondary Plan. The new consolidation includes all amendments adopted by July 1^st 2005.

Copies of the new Office Consolidation (July 2005) of the Official Plan are now available for viewing and sale at the Town’s Development Services Counter. Copies will also be distributed to Town libraries. A hardcopy of the new Office Consolidation (July 2005) is available for $180.00, while

the CD version costs $75.00. The Office Consolidation is also available for Town staff and Councillors to view on the Town’s INTRANET under CORPORATE APPLICATIONS.
