Recommended Temporary Parking
Prohibition
Glenbourne Park Drive
The Angus
Glen West Village
is currently being built on the east side of Glenbourne Park Drive. We understand that trades people from and
visitors to the Angus Glen development are frequently parking their vehicles on
both sides of Glenbourne
Park Drive.
In response to these parking infractions,
Markham’s
Engineering Department will be recommending a
temporary parking prohibition to the Town’s Development Services Committee on May 20, 2008. The temporary parking
prohibition will be recommended to be for the duration of the construction of
the Angus Glen
West Village
and to be as per the following location and as per Attachment A:
Glenbourne Park Drive
North Limit:
Major MacKenzie Drive
South Limit:
Scandia Court
NO PARKING ANYTIME – BOTH SIDES
The parking prohibition will ensure that two-way flow of
traffic is maintained on Glenbourne
Park Drive during construction of the Angus
Glen West Village.
Parking Prohibition Exemptions
Given the impacts of the
recommended temporary parking prohibition, the Town will be allowing parking
exemptions for residents holding special events. Residents can call the Town’s
Parking Control group at 905-477-7000 Extension 2050 to request a
parking exemption.
Thirteen Lots fronting Glenbourne Park Drive
In reference to the thirteen lots
fronting onto Glenbourne
Park Drive, it is expected that housing
construction will commence within twelve months. We will be working with Angus Glen Developments
to minimize parking impacts to the community during the construction of those
houses.
