RECOMMENDATION
That
Development Services Committee receive
this memorandum and approve the proposed street name of Andon
Court for a Draft
Plan of Subdivision (19TM-05013) at 78 & 90
Lee Avenue.
BACKGROUND
78
& 90 Lee Avenue
are located on the north side of Lee
Avenue between Brimley
Road and Noble
Street, within the Hagerman’s Corner
neighbourhood. On August
8, 2008, the Town issued draft approval for a proposed plan of
subdivision (19TM-05013) for ten (10) single residential lots.
This
subdivision will have two lots fronting onto Lee
Avenue and eight lots which will have
access from a proposed local road which would extend from Lee
Avenue and terminate in a cul-de-sac and
identified as Street ‘A’ on Figure 1 (attached). The applicant has requested that the proposed
local road be named Andon Court
which is a long-standing family name.
The
applicant has requested that the proposed street name be considered at this
time to facilitate the registration of the draft plan of subdivision. The
Region of York, Town of Markham Fire
Department
and Ward Councillor have reviewed and accepted the proposed street name.
It
is recommended that the proposed street name of Andon
Court be approved for use within this
subdivision.
