WHEREAS Section 122(7) of the Highway
Traffic Act provides for restricted loads on highways
During a reduced load period and provides
further that the Municipal Corporation having
jurisdiction over a highway may by by-law designate
the date on which a reduced load period
shall start or end and the highway or
portion thereof to which the designation applies;
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF
THE TOWN OF
1.
That
load restrictions limiting loads to 5 tonnes per axle
be implemented on all public highways
in the Town from
discretion of the Director of
Clause 2 and for
vehicles operated by or on behalf of the municipality, where the vehicles are
engaged in highway maintenance, transportation
of fire apparatus, transportation of waste,
public utility emergency vehicles and school
busses as stated in Sec. 122(4) of the Highway
Traffic
Act.

To provide year-round load restriction on
Town rural roads
WHEREAS Section 122(7) of the Highway
Traffic Act provides for restricted loads on highways
during a reduced load period and provides
further that the Municipal Corporation having jurisdiction
over a highway may by by-law designate the
date on which a reduced load period shall start or end
and the highway or portion thereof to
which the designation applies;
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF
THE TOWN OF
