Project Summary: Enhanced Asphalt Resurfacing Program

Additional funding would be used to enhance the Town’s pavement preservation program by 15 to 20km of extra roads.  Pavement preservation is used on roads aged 6 to 10 years and helps to improve the riding characteristics of the road as well as prolong the life of the surface.

Costs:

The total project cost is approximately $1M.

Timeline: These additional funds can be used to supplement our current program and could be either spread over 2009 and 2010 or targeted specifically for 2010.

Benefits:

The benefit of this program will result in improved ride characteristics for the community.
