Adoption Strategy |
At its last meeting, Committee
members agreed that the euthanasia rates were extremely high. In order to decrease euthanasia, adoption
rates must increase. A meeting was
held between Valerie, Bob, and Susan to review plans for the promotion of
adoptions. Advertisements will be
placed on the Town’s website, newspaper, and electronic information boards. |
Meet with
Dennis Flaherty of Corporate Communication to create implementation
strategy. Report back to the
Committee. |

2010 Calendar |
The Committee is required under
the Town’s Purchasing By-law to receive three written quotes in order to proceed
with the calendar. The Committee was
presented with one quote which raised the issue of quality. Committee members inquired if the
committee can have a dedicated phone extension, business cards, and a media
release for their calendar. All items
are necessary for communication with the public. Committee members decided that
anyone can submit a photo for the calendar, they do not have to live in |

the Committee with a written quote as soon as possible. Review
Town policies and report next meeting. No further

Committee members expressed
concerns with the lack of specifications when receiving quotes for the
calendar. Committee members agrees the
calendar should be between 8.5 x 11 and 10 x 13 in size, stapled, FSC
certified printer, and quotes should include prices for 1,000 and 2,000
calendars. |
