A By-law to amend the Sign By-law2002-294, as amended

THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARKHAM ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

1. That Section 4.6.1 of the By-law 2002-294, as amended be further amended by adding the following new sub-clause (v):

4.6.1 (v) Signs erected on designated railway overpasses for the limited purpose of community messaging of the Town and associated images, including the Town Logo, the Canadian National Railways Corporate Logo, the Logo of the media agent maintaining the signage, and a Corporate Logo of a third party entity incorporating a corporate message on one face of the signage only, in accordance with a Sign Uniformity Plan approved by Council. The designated railway overpasses are: 14th Ave. & Markham Rd.; Kennedy Rd., S. of Hwy 407; Markham Rd. S. of Hwy 407; Bayview Ave. N. of Steeles Ave.; McCowan Rd., S of Hwy 407; 9th Line, N. of Steeles Ave.; Henderson, N. of Steeles Ave.; and, Hwy 404, N. of Steeles Ave. This provision shall expire two (2) years from the date of passing of this amending by-law.
