Calendar Update |
Janet provided an update on the
number of submissions, to date there were 309 photos submissions, with a few
still trickling in. Further to the
entries, 117 calendars have been pre-ordered and paid for. Committee members are selling the
calendar at the Thornhill Village Festival, September 19th,
Markham Fair, October 1-4th, and Markham Home Show October 16-18th. Christy advised the Committee to be mindful
of the number of calendars being sold, as Council only approved the
production of 1,000 calendars, and any more would require further Council
approval. Committee members inquired about
the use of credit cards for payment next year, but unfortunately at this
time, it is not feasible. Terrie asked that Caroline take
the lead role on the calendar, as she has been working directly with both the
production and marketing teams. |

Distribution of Funds Protocol |
Christy advised that Susan would
like to be present to discuss this item, as it must comply with all by-law
regulations, which includes not permitting animals to run at large, therefore
it was deferred to the next meeting. |
Brainstorm
ideas for the protocol. |

New Business |
Denielle asked if anyone was
interested in soliciting donated items for a silent auction at the fair. |
Members were not receptive, as
they are busy with calendar work and would like to focus on sales of it
instead. |
