The Markham Sub-Committee convened at 6:35 PM with Councillor John Webster in the Chair.

1. 61 NELSON STREET

On April 13, 2010 the Development Services Committee referred this proposal to the Markham Subcommittee for a review and recommendation.

Mr. George Duncan, Heritage Planner distributed a package containing an area context, aerial photo, site plan and building elevations of the proposed building. He provided the Committee with some history and advised that all significant issues have been resolved and staff are prepared to issue the site plan approval.

The Committee inquired why the property is only listed as 61 Nelson and not reflecting the address on Rouge Street. Mr. Duncan advised that the 60 Rouge Street was approved at the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB). He also advised that all the conditions of the OMB have been met.

That the site plan for 61 Nelson Street (SC 1018764) be approved and forwarded to the April 27, 2010 Council meeting.
